The second round of the International Rapid Chess Tournament among the world chess stars “Amir Temur Memorial 2016”, dedicated to 680th anniversary of Amir Temur, resulted in the capital.
In the second round Shakhriyar Mamedyarov from Azerbaijan got 2.5 points, Boris Gelfand from Israel – 2 points. Our chess player Rustam Kasimdzhanov scored 1 point, Ruslan Ponomariov from Ukraine – 0.5 points.
According to the results of the first round of the International Chess Tournament of the world stars “Amir Temur Memorial 2016” Shakhriyar Mamedyarov with 4.5 points took first place. Boris Gelfand with 3 points ranked second, Rustam Kasimdzhanov with 2.5 points – the third.
