The night of 22 August saw the official closing ceremony of the XXXI Summer Olympic games. Rio passed the baton to the next city to host Summer Games in Tokyo. The Governor of Tokyo Yuriko Koike has received the flag of the International Olympic Committee.
The closing ceremony was held at Maracanã stadium, were the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach announced the end of Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
A total of 306 sets of medals in 28 sports were played during the Rio Olympics.
The Uzbekistan national team took 21st place in the medal standings, winning 4 gold, 2 silver and 7 bronze medals.
