These days the 40th Moscow International Film Festival, one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world of category “A”, is taking place.
The main program of this festival also included a film by Uzbek director Rashid Malikov “Sabot” (“Fortitude”). Participants of the festival, especially Russian audience, are accepting this film with great interest.
The film, shot by the National Agency “Uzbekkino” within the framework of the execution of these tasks, was presented at Moscow International Film Festival by the Center for Development of Cinematography.
“Sabot” film will also be presented to the attention of world experts in the pavilion of Uzbekistan, which will be organized within the framework of the 71st Cannes International Film Festival.
“Sabot” is a film about life, patience, endurance and persistence of a person, his honor and dignity, it describes the events of 1980. The picture tells about the memories, thoughts and experiences of the former Karakalpak internationalist soldier. The main roles in the film were performed by actors Karim Mirkhodiev, Saidulla Moldakhanov, Bekhzod Khamroev, Nigora Karimboeva, and Zulkhumor Muminova.
