On March 29, 2018, at the fourteenth plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the senators considered the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan”.
It should be noted that the Service, in carrying out its activities, obeys and reports directly to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It also regularly informs the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Defense and Security Issues about the main areas of its activities.
At the same time, the General Prosecutor of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the prosecutors subordinate take control over the exact and uniform execution of laws in the activities of the Service. The law is approved by senators.
