The Government’s measures on the development of services in accordance with the Program of development of sphere of services in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2016-2020, as well as implementation of the tasks aimed at ensuring balanced development and diversification of the activities of the organizations of sphere of services, competitiveness and quality of services provided by them lead to the dynamic development of this sector.
As a result, the market volume of services rendered in January-March 2016, formed on the basis of the Statistical classifier of products (goods, works, services) by kinds of economic activity that meet international standards, amounted to 18.6 trillion soums, having increased in comparison with the same period last year by 12.1%.
An increase was mainly influenced by the following services: finance (122.9%), healthcare (114%), trade (of 113.1%), as well as services related with real estate (112.5%).
The largest share in total services account for transport (30.3%), trade (27,3%), financial (11.9%) and communication and information services (7.1%).
