International Forums Palace hosts festive celebrations dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the state independence of Uzbekistan.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, he congratulated the compatriots on this significant date.
“I sincerely and wholeheartedly congratulate you, my dear ones, and all our people on the greatest and dearest holiday – Independence Day, which is widely celebrated in all cities and villages of our Homeland. On this bright day, which became the beginning of a new era and a free life for us, we once again deeply realize what a difficult and at the same time glorious way our people have overcome”, the Head of the state said.
This year, Uzbekistan has again achieved great success, significant changes have taken place. High-tech plants and enterprises have been put into operation. Rich crops have been grown and the volume of exports has increased. Over the past period of this year, the total real income of the population increased by 12 percent compared to the same period last year.
The “Obod qishloq” (“Prosperous village”) and “Obod makhalla” (“Prosperous neighborhood”) programs have brought a spirit of renewal and an atmosphere of creation even to the most remote areas of the country. Over the past year and a half, 38,543 comfortable houses have been built for rural residents under the updated projects, 40 thousand families have got new houses.
“People’s satisfaction with life is the highest and fair assessment given to our work, first of all, to my activity as President, activities of leaders and responsible persons at all levels, deputies and senators, and all the state agencies. If people are satisfied, the Almighty will be pleased with us”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
In addition to the achieved results, the President noted that there are still many tasks to be solved to improve the competitiveness of the economy, ensure youth employment, provide social justice, develop the spheres of healthcare and education. He emphasized that all current issues will be resolved through dialogue with people, through well-thought-out measures.
“On this bright holiday, with my filial love, I bow to our hardworking, brave and generous, magnanimous and noble people, who are the creator of all our success”, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
