At the meeting that was held on July 4 under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the need for implementing specific measures aimed at fundamental review and ensuring effectiveness of activities of sports and educational camps for minors, who are on preventive account in the internal affairs bodies was noted.
The root of problems, including crime among youth, is often hidden in unemployment. There are serious problems at places in ensuring employment of young people. Despite holding over 1,700 job fairs, only 5 percent of participants have been employed, 509 thousand young people left for long-term work in foreign countries over the past year, which indicates an irresponsible approach to work.
It is necessary to introduce an entirely new system for ensuring youth employment, said the Head of the state.
In order to effectively coordinate the implementation of the program, the Prime Minister was given instruction on attaching members of the Republican Commission for Development of Youth Entrepreneurship as personally responsible for each region, creating working groups headed by them, which will include leading personnel of state bodies, public organizations and prosecutors of the region.
At the meeting it was emphasized that it is necessary to actively involve senators, deputies of the Oliy Majlis and local kengashes in this actual work. For, the deputy corps as people’s representatives must take care of the future of youth most of all. They should provide practical assistance to working groups operating in the regions by radically improving the work of the youth wing of political parties at places, actively participating in holding meetings and activities on ensuring implementation of this program.
