The President of Uzbekistan got acquainted with the progress of construction of new multi-storey houses in Sergeli district, in Tashkent.

The project provides for construction of seven-storey houses consisting of 5,040 apartments. Foundations of 120 houses have been excavated, a brick laying on the third floor of eight houses and the first floor of 33 houses is being conducted, tiles are being laid out in 20 houses, foundation pouring, laying of blocks and installation of metal structures is continuing in 59 houses. More than 6 thousand specialists and more than 450 special equipment are involved in construction activities.

It should be emphasized that new houses are built of construction materials of domestic production. It is also planned to build schools, kindergartens, recreation areas, polyclinics, playgrounds, car parks and other infrastructure facilities.

On instructions of the President of the country, pre-school education institutions will be located on the first floors of eight houses, and family polyclinics on the lower floors of three houses, which will create wide conveniences for the residents of the new area.

New houses are scheduled to be commissioned in September this year.

During the conversation with builders, the Head of the state noted the need for creation of all conditions for residents, special attention to training qualified specialists, including on design and infrastructure, who are well aware of close relations between these spheres. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave instructions on qualitative completion of construction activities in a timely manner.
