Unfortunately, the idea that our deputies, senators should awaken has remained only in words, this is the demand of life. I emphasize once again that there is no practical result, noted the President of our country in his Address to the members of the Senate and deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis.
Only 27 out of 136 legislative initiatives, forwarded during the year, refer to deputies, they mainly concern introduction of amendments and additions to existing laws based on decrees and resolutions of the President, and this indicates the low effectiveness of our parliament’s activities.
Tell me that only decrees and resolutions of the President should be adopted for the implementation of reforms? When the parliament will develop a resolution or a law aimed at radical improvement, albeit not much, but at least of one sphere? When will this work be done? Our people are waiting for your answer on this matter. The days when there was an opinion that we are elected a deputy or a senator, that’s all, now, we will do everything our own way, are gone. Once again I repeat, we must awaken, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
