President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received on November 2 the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, who arrived in our country on an official visit, as well as to attend the next meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of Governments, the presidential press service reported.
In the course of the conversation, it was emphasized that the high-level talks in Moscow in April this year, as well as regular meetings between the leaders of the two countries, including within the framework of the CIS summit in Sochi last month, gave a powerful impetus to strengthening the relations of strategic partnership and alliance, filled bilateral cooperation with qualitatively new content.
Issues of further expansion and deepening of Uzbek-Russian multifaceted relations, increase in the volume of mutual trade, implementation of joint cooperation projects in various sectors of the economy, development of cultural and humanitarian exchange were discussed.
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev thanked President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the warm welcome and conveyed the greetings and best wishes of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The readiness for further development and strengthening of partnership relations and mutually beneficial practical cooperation between our countries was noted.
