The Head of the state, thanking the American side for the long-term and fruitful cooperation, noted that as a result of negotiations with President Donald Trump, relations between the two countries have risen to a new level.
Based on the principles of openness and good neighborliness in our foreign policy, the Defense doctrine of Uzbekistan was upgraded to further strengthen the sovereignty and independence of our country. The structure and tasks of military districts have been revised, military schools have been reformed. Uzbekistan is interested in sharing experience, military-technical cooperation, and interaction in defense and security with the United States of America, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
At the meeting, main attention was paid to security, military and military-technical cooperation. Current aspects of countering modern challenges and threats to security and stability in the region, as well as a peaceful settlement of the situation in Afghanistan, were discussed.
