Shavkat Mirziyoyev: we must create all conditions for decent leisure of the population

In the project submitted to the President for the organization of “Namangan Istiqlol bog’i”, it is planned to build infrastructure facilities that will serve to provide meaningful leisure for local residents and guests of the region, in particular, for youth. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a mini stadium, an ice palace, a 4-star hotel, large attractions, a fairy-tale town, shopping malls and centers, a library and an Internet cafe, a bowling alley and fitness clubs, a four-story modern parking lot, a center for artisans, an amphitheater, an aqua park will be located in the park of 110 hectares. In a territory with a unique landscape, rare ornamental trees and flower seedlings will be planted, a botanical garden will be created.

The total cost of the complex, built on the basis of the project of the Turkish company DOME+PARTNERS is 12 million dollars and 116 billion soums. About 1,500 new jobs will be created in the park, which is planned to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2019. This park of recreation and entertainment will serve 100 thousand people a year.

Over the past short period, a large-scale construction and landscaping activities have been carried out, currently this work is continuing.

Presentation of projects were held on construction of Un bir Ahmad mosque in this park of culture and recreation, reconstruction and expansion of the sewerage system of the city of Namangan, “Namangan City”, which will be built on Gulistan area, a modern shopping complex in Pap district.

The Head of state gave necessary recommendations and instructions on qualitative and safe construction of this complex, which has no analogues not only in the region, but also throughout the country. He offered to name this park of culture and recreation as “Afsona”.
