From 6 to 14 October 2014, in Tashkent and Bukhara will be held one of the central cultural event of the year – VII Tashkent International Photobiennale.
Event is organized by the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan supported by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Cultural Affairs and Sport, secondary and higher education, public education, the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activities, National Company “Uzbektourism” and others.
Photobiennale participants will become 315 art photographers, photographic societies representatives working in different genres and styles, curators from 32 countries, including Argentina, Azerbaijan, Brazil, Britain, Germany, Italy, China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, USA, Japan and others.
The main objectives of the event are promotion of development of modern photography, expansion of professional and creative linkages between domestic and foreign photographers, familiarization of public with the latest trends in this sphere.
Photobiennale theme of this year is “Parallels. Illusions and Reality” will be opening 53 exhibition projects consisting of 1,000 photos.
During the event, a jury consisting of domestic and foreign expertswill determine the winners who will be awarded in such categories as “Best documentary photography project”, “Best conceptual photo project”, “Best curatorial project”, “Best Art Photography
