The capital hosted the chess tournament Tashkent Summer held among juniors up to 14 years. More than 80 talented players divided into two groups competed in it.
In competitions held among boys in the group A, no one could compare to Ortiq Nighmatov. He has won over Viktor Ilyushin, Mumin Abdullayev, Rabbim Umarov, Sirojiddin Najmiddinov, Gulruhbegim Tohirjonova, Nurulla Urolov and played drawn game with Abdimalik Abdisalimov, Akbar Aliboyev and Nuriddin Khudoyqulov. Typing 7.5 points from a possible nine, the talented chess player took the first place. Abdimalik Abdusalamov and Sirojiddin Najmiddinov, scored a point less than Ortiq Nighmatov and according to additional indicators have occupied the second and the third places.
In competitions among girls,Gulruhbegim Tohirjonova getting more all – 6 points, took the first place. Bahora Abdusattorova took the second place with 5.5 points and Asal Salimova became the third with 4 points.
In competitions held in the group B, gold medal was won by Mirjahon Rahimov, who have scored 7,5 points out of a possible nine. During the tournament, he has defeated Abduzafar Abdumalikov, Umar Isomov, Muhammadali Ibrohimov, Saidolim Zokirov, Samandar Shermuhammedov, Sirojiddin Mahamatov and Olmos Rahmatullayev, played draw with Mamarajab Mamarasulov.
In this group, the second and the third places were taken by Olmos Rahmatullayev and Muhriddin Yuldashev, who have scored 7 points.
In competitions held among girls, the first place was won by Sitora Saparova with 6 points. The second place went to Gulbadan Nishonova with 5.5 points, the third – Ozoda Husainova, gaining 5 points.
