Tashkent hosts National Arts Awards Ceremony The Istiqlol Palace in Tashkent hosted an honoring ceremony of winners of the E’tirof (Recognition) Awards in culture, arts, sports, journalism and artistic creativity.

During the process of extensive reforms, that have been underway in our country under the leadership of President Islam Karimov, in spiritual and enlightenment areas, a special attention is paid to developing culture, arts and sports as a significant condition of improving the spirituality of a young generation, forming their strong life positions, high esthetic taste.

The traditional Etirof Awards, established by Centre of youth culture and arts at the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with a range of organizations, support popularize the creative works of artists, who have been greatly contributing to the development of classical singing, national pop music, dance, world musical arts, literature, painting, national and modern design, theatre and cinema, journalism and propagate the national arts and culture in an international scale.

The occasion at the Istiqlol Palace contained awarding the winners in twenty three nominations in six areas.

The year 2013 has been packed with a great diversity of events, creative projects, festivals, concert shows, and review contests. The 10th Sharq Taronalari International Music Festival, held in Samarkand once more served as a ground to showcase traditions and schools of our national arts. The Alisher Navoi State academic Bolshoi Theatre of Uzbekistan has started the season in building, which underwent capital reconstruction on the initiative of President Islam Karimov.

Uzbekistan youth symphonic orchestra’s concert “Spring symphony” has been acknowledged by art-lovers. The “Spring of the youth” national competition of opera singers, creative projects in theatre, cinema, dance, traditional singing and instrumental playing have identified new talents.

The event also included a concert show with masters of art and creative youths.
