The activists of the Liberal-democratic party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) have conducted a roundtable discussion on the theme “Book is the cradle of spirituality” in the enlightenment and educational center “Samarqand kitob olami”.
Students of educational institutions of Samarkand, teachers, workers of culture and art attended the opening event and noted that a special significance is placed on the literature and spirituality in our country. In recent years many modern bookstores were built in the capital and all regional centers. The competitions “The best book loving family” and “The best book loving student” became traditional.
– Increasing the spirituality of our people and the interest of the people, especially the younger generation, to reading are important program objectives of our party, – said the deputy chairwoman of the Samarkand Regional Council of the UzLiDeP Jamila Sayfiddinova. – In the context of increasing globalization, the book is the best tools for young men and women against the influence of “mass culture” and other negative phenomena. The youth who loves a book and literature, learns only the good, and it improves the spirituality and desire to create.
