In the Asian Champions League in 2016 four Uzbek soccer teams will defend the honor of our country. Tashkent club “Pakhtakor”, “Locomotive” and Karshi “Nasaf” will start the competition from the group stage of the prestigious competition, the metropolitan team “Bunyodkor” will test skills in playoffs stage.
Malaysian city of Kuala Lumpur hosted the draw of the Asian Cham
pions League matches. According to it, the current champion of our country – the team “Pakhtakor” in Group C play against Saudi Arabian “Al Hilol” and Iranian “Traktorsozi”. In Group A “Locomotive” took place with the clubs “Foolad” (Iran) and “Al Nasr” (UAE).
Karshi team “Nasaf”, a bronze medalist of the country, in Group D will enter the field against teams “Al Ain” (UAE) and “Al Ahly” (Saudi Arabia). The fourth team in each of the three groups will be known after the competition of the playoffs.
To participate in the Asian Champions League the team “Bunyodkor” in playoffs stage will play against the club “Al Shabab” (UAE). The club, which would gain a victory in this match, will get a place in Group B together with the clubs “Al-Nasr” (Saudi Arabia), “Zobahan” (Iran), “Lakhvia” (Qatar).
