The eighth traditional media “Ozod Yurt Tulkinlari” (“Waves of a free country”) festival will be held on a summer terrace of Lotte City Hotel Tashkent Palace on August 21. An event objective is support and development of a private broadcasting in Uzbekistan, the revitalization of the journalists in the preparation of radio and television programs.
Winners of the media festival were determined by online voting in following categories: Best Media Project, Best TV Station, The Best Radio and the Best Program Dedicated to the 24 Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The festival aims to find out the best representatives in various areas of professional activity. The main evaluation criteria of works will be meaning and relevance of media content, its focus on coverage of socially important topics.
During the event, members of the Parliamentary Commission for the management of the Public Fund’s assets of support of NGOs and other civil society institutions will declare the winners of state grants.
An awarding ceremony of winners of the second phase of the “Mening Yurtim – Mening Fakhri!” TV song contest will be held at the festival. The song contest was organized at the initiative of the Association, the “Mening Yurtim” TV Channel and Sevimli-tv.uz Online TV Channel.
