This is aimed at creating favorable living conditions for the population, continuing the traditions of historical architecture, and increasing the number of green spaces and recreation parks.
“On the territory of the historical and ethnographic park there will be objects that reflect the harmonious interweaving of the masterpieces of Bukhara traditional architecture and modern methods of urban planning”, says the Chief Architect of Bukhara region, Zukhriddin Mukhiddinov. “These will include an ethnographic museum, historical mahallas, teahouses and cafes of national dishes, traditional drainage systems, and shopping arcades of artisans, jewelers, embroiderers, woodcarvers, blacksmiths, potters, folk artists, knife makers. In the center of the complex, it is planned to build a musical fountain. All work is carried out based on the Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage requirements, adopted by the General Conference of UNESCO on November 16, 1972”.
It should be noted that based on this project, a magnificent green park for walking for residents and guests of Bukhara is planned. In accordance with the “Green Bukhara” program, all trees will be completely preserved, and the territory will be enriched with new plantings.
In general, the creation of the historical and ethnographic park “Eternal Bukhara” will not only serve to widely familiarize the world community with the country’s centuries-old and rich cultural and historical values, but will also make a worthy contribution to maintaining the ecological balance in the city.
