The President said that special attention is paid to the quality of education and upbringing of girls.
If six years ago 110,000 girls studied at universities, now this number has increased by almost 5 times and amounts to 500,000.
At present, women make up 77 percent of those employed in the health sector, education – 74 percent, economy and industry – 46 percent.
About 2,000 educated, enterprising, active women work in leadership positions in state and public organizations. Women make up 33 percent of the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis (parliament), 25 percent of the members of the Senate and deputies of local Kengashes.
