In the course of a plenary session, which took place yesterday, the senators considered the Law “On the Securities Market” in the new edition.
It was emphasized that the new provisions of the Law are aimed at simplifying, improving the efficiency of legal procedures related to the issuance of securities, including new financial instruments. It establishes the privileges and preferences in transactions with securities, the organizational and legal mechanisms of wide introduction of modern electronic technology. The Law based on the experience of developed countries revises and determines the requirements for professional activity at the securities market, the rights and obligations of the participants of the securities market, as well as the conditions and mechanisms for responsibility for violation of legislation in this area.
As it was noted by the senators, the adoption of this law will help to improve the investment climate and business environment in the securities market, the quality of services in the stock market, the growth of a class of owners and sources of income for the population, as well as capital inflow, including foreign investments in order to finance investment projects. The senators approved the law.
