At the meeting dedicated to issues of implementation of “Obod qishloq” (“Prosperous village”) and “Obod makhalla” (“Prosperous neighborhood”) programs it was noted that within the program it is necessary to improve activities on improving the supply of drinking water to the population, important tasks were identified on accelerating construction of water pipeline in Bukhara, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Surkhandarya and Fergana regions.
The analysis shows that the work on reducing the groundwater level in rural areas does not meet the requirements. To reduce the groundwater level requires repair and restoration of melioration system with a length of 2.2 thousand kilometers. However, to date, work in this direction has been performed only on 220 kilometers of the collector-drainage system.
The Head of the state gave an order to complete the design, estimate documentation on irrigation and collector-drainage systems in rural areas within two weeks and start working in this direction.
At the meeting, it was stated that works on repair of 455 kilometers of electric networks in 73 villages, 76 kilometers of gas pipeline in 40 settlements have not yet begun. Heads of JSC “Uzbekenergo” was tasked to immediately eliminate this problem, begin jointly with local khokimiyats within two weeks the repair of electric networks in these villages.
The need to develop a daily schedule for the delivery of cylinders with liquefied gas to remote areas and ensure its implementation, completion until the autumn of repair of highways in the villages and on the adjacent territory, was emphasized.
