A conference was held at Samarkand branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology with participation of specialists from the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after N.Blokhin of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
The conference, with participation of employees of the branch, oncologists of Samarkand, was dedicated to activities carried out in the world on prevention of cancer, their early detection and diagnosis. Information was presented on measures implemented in the country in this direction on the basis of the program designed for 2017-2021.
– After the resolution of the President of our country of April 4, 2017, the system of rendering oncological assistance to the population was radically improved, wide opportunities for conducting activities of medical institutions at the level of modern requirements were created, – says the head of Samarkand branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology M.Jurayev. – As a result, modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of cancer are widely implemented. Surgical operation for esophageal cancer, extended gastric cancer gastrectomy and simultaneous transplantation of artificial stomach is established in Samarkand for the first time., High-tech surgical operations for treatment of lung cancer, pleural tumors were also performed. More than 10 of our employees have passed advanced training courses in India, Turkey and Russia. At the moment Russian colleagues are conducting master classes for young specialists and exchanging experience. Conducting joint medical examination of patients, providing consultations.
Doctors of the National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after N.Blokhin Yu.Vakhabova and V.Mochalnikova are specialists in cancer morphology and chemotherapy. They are sharing experience with Samarkand colleagues in this area, taking part in treatment of patients.
