TSTU establishes Uzbek-Japanese Youth Innovation Center

Interim President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on creation of Uzbek-Japanese Youth Innovation Center at the Tashkent State Technical University named after Abu Rayhan Biruni (TSTU) on September 19, 2016.

The universities of Tsukuba, Nagoya, Keio, Toyohashi University of Technology and the Tokyo Institute of Technology will be the center partners from the Japanese side.

Resolution defines the main tasks and activities of the Centre as follow:

– Development of innovative activity of young professionals and students with embodiment of their scientific and technical ideas in designs, equipment, processes and solutions;

– Creation of modern high-tech production with minimal impact on the environment having high energy-saving options and being able to solve import substitution problem;

– Formation of favorable conditions for research activities by young scientists, ensuring high level of quality of research work carried out by them;

– Joint experimental and applied research on relevant scientific fields of the Centre on the basis of orders from domestic and foreign organizations, scientific and educational institutions.

According to the decree, Fund for Development of the Center will be created, formed by attracting funds of business entities that are interested in introduction of advanced technologies.

The center will be located in TSTU building at the address: Tashkent city, University street, 2 (Block “B”).
