Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) is implementing a program in the sphere of maternity and childhood protection in Uzbekistan.
Three-day courses have been organized in the line of TIKA, in particular, consisting of two stages. 30 students of the first stage of the courses were awarded certificates. At the same time, the opening ceremony of the second stage of courses took place, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Elmira Basitkhanova, TIKA Vice-President Mehmet Sureyya Er and program coordinator of the agency in Uzbekistan Ali Ihsan Chaglar.
TIKA implements many projects in brotherly Uzbekistan and, within the framework of its activities, attaches great importance to the healthcare sector, said the vice-president of the Turkish agency, at the ceremony.
According to him, TIKA plans to implement 10 more programs, in Uzbekistan, aimed at protecting maternity and childhood.
