Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan to establish trading houses

Several documents on cooperation in various fields between the ministries and departments of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan were signed within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Uzbekistan.

As reported by the Ministry for Foreign Trade, among 17 documents, an agreement was signed between the Ministry for Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan on establishment of trading houses in Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The document provides for assistance to entrepreneurs in establishment of trading houses on the territory of both countries.

“The results of the exhibition of products of Turkmen manufacturers and business forum demonstrate great potential for increasing trade turnover between the countries. Opening of trading houses will help us to further increase the volume of trade and create conditions for establishing contacts between the businesspeople of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan”, commented the Minister for Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khodjayev.

Trading houses will become an advertising platform of goods for local buyers, will allow leading retail and small wholesale trade, conducting marketing research, as well as will provide consulting services.
