UN Secretary-General António Guterres sent a video message in connection with Tashkent Conference on Afghanistan “Peace process, security cooperation and regional collaboration”, held on the initiate of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Guterres noted that the conference would contribute to achieving peace in Afghanistan.
In the message, it is emphasized that UN highly appreciates and ready to support aspirations of Uzbekistan for achieving sustainable development in Afghanistan.
