A delegation of the US led by Associate Deputy Undersecretary of Labour Department Eric Biel is visiting Uzbekistan.
Within the visit, the US delegation held negotiations with the Minister of Labour of Uzbekistan Aziz Abdukhakimov.
During the meeting, the Uzbek side informed the US side on reforms in labour and social welfare of population in Uzbekistan.
The US delegation was also informed on measures on implementation of international document in the sphere of labour. It was noted that no violations of labour legislation was recorded during cotton picking campaign.
Eric Biel expressed gratitude to the meeting and underlined constructive character of cooperation of Uzbekistan with international organizations. He noted that Uzbekistan carried out huge work on ensuring protection of labour rights of the citizens.
At the meeting, the US side expressed readiness to develop bilateral relations.
