Recently, a group of students and teachers of the Higher National School of Architecture of Versailles (France) visited Uzbekistan. The trip was organized in the framework of the Agreement on cooperation between this university and the Tashkent Architecture and Construction Institute (TACI) signed in February 2010.
As part of the agreement, these schools annually exchange students and teachers in order to get acquainted with the modern development of urban planning and architecture in our countries.
Overall, since 2010, 13 professors and 79 students from the Versailles school have visited Uzbekistan and representatives of 15 faculty members and 75 students from TACI have passed training and work experience internship in France.
During the current visit to Tashkent, European students under the guidance of mentors have conducted researches on topics such as the role of geometry in architecture of the Islamic world, cartographic representation of Tashkent, the study of its architectural surfaces, historical and modern buildings. Representatives of the National Superior School of Architecture of Versailles also visited Samarkand, Bukhara and Nukus.
Mutually beneficial cooperation between the leading architectural universities of the two countries are actively ongoing. So, this summer, the students of the Tashkent Architecture and Construction Institute will visit France.
