Uzbek Foreign Minister receives World Bank Regional Director

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received the Regional Director for Central Asia of the World Bank (WB) Lilia Burunciuc on July 13, who arrived in Tashkent as the head of a representative delegation for holding bilateral talks.

Current visit of Lilia Burunciuc to our country is the fourth one since the beginning of this year. Earlier, WB delegation also visited the Aral Sea area to get acquainted with the socio-economic situation.

During the conversation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs discussed the prospects for partnership between Uzbekistan and the World Bank Group.

Special attention was paid to cooperation within the framework of implementation of the adopted Action Strategy for five priority areas of development of our country in 2017-2021.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
