A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Labour Aziz Abukhakimov held a meeting with the Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Director-General Guy Ryder within the 105th International Labour Conference.
According to the information service of Ministry of Labour, ILO Director-General Guy Ryder underlined that Uzbekistan passed difficult path to establish mutual beneficial cooperation with the ILO. The country demonstrated its openness to international community and its readiness to execute international obligations within the ratified ILO Conventions. He said that work of Uzbekistan in this direction can serve as an example for other countries, especially for Central Asian states.
Fruitful cooperation resulted in significant progress in implementation of international labour standards. ILO chief underlined that the organization highly rates adopted measures in Uzbekistan, directed at execution of international liabilities in the field of labour.
He said that the ILO will continue to support efforts of Uzbekistan in realization of key principles in the sphere of labour and new initiatives on employment and social protection of population.
