Earlier Jahon Information Agency has reported about the successful participation of the vocal-instrumental ensemble “Meros” of Republican Specialized Music Academic Lyceum named after V.Uspenskiy in the 17th International Festival of choirs and youth orchestras “Music from around the world”, which was held in the Italian city of Perugia and Deruta.
Brilliant performance of our young performers at the prestigious competition “Città di Pesaro” and “Città di Barletta” has become a special gift for the upcoming 25-year anniversary of the state independence of Uzbekistan. In addition to the Uzbek musicians the competition was attended by over 100 representatives of Germany, Italy, Canada, China, Russia, Slovakia, Turkey, Croatia and many other countries.
Excellent performance of the students of Republican Specialized Music Academic Lyceum named after R.Glier and academic lyceums for gifted children at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan has once again aroused the admiration of the Italian audience and was awarded the highest results.
In particular, the jury of the 13th International Music Competition “Città di Pesaro” awarded our compatriot Izzatilla Tashkenbaev first place in the category “National melodies”. Muhritdin Shonazarov and Umidbek Shavkatov were ranked third.
In the category “Small arms” (piano) Mukhlis Alisherov won the main award, and Anna Kim became third. In the senior age category of pianists Zafarzhon Vahidjanov took fourth place.
26th international contest of young performers “Citta di Barletta” victory also brought by musicians from Uzbekistan, who won 1 gold and 4 silver medals.
