48th World Chemistry Olympiad, which saw over 300 representatives from 75 countries, including Uzbekistan took place in Tbilisi from July 23 to August 1.
Following the results of the Olympiad, student of Yunusobod academic lyceum under the Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute Sarvar Shoyunusov won the silver medal, student of the academic lyceum №1 under the Samarkand State Medical Institute Jahogir Fakhriev and student of academic lyceum under the Tashkent Medical Academy Charos Omonova won bronze medals. They also became the winners of the 50th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad.
Students of Yunusobod academic lyceum successfully participate in various competitions in chemistry and over the past seven years, they have won 5 gold, 10 silver and 10 bronze medals.
