In the Spanish cities of Barcelona and Madrid, presentations were held on the forthcoming opening of scheduled flights of Uzbekistan Airways on Tashkent – Barcelona – Tashkent route and the rich tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
The organizers of these events were the National Air Company of Uzbekistan with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Kingdom of Spain and the Agency for Tourism Development of Catalonia, as well as the Spanish Visa Center in Tashkent. They were attended by representatives of the government and business community of Catalonia, local leading tourism companies and the mass media.
During the presentations, videos were shown about the capabilities of the national air carrier, cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan, the sights of the country. Specialists of the National Air Company held a number of meetings with representatives of the Spanish government, as well as leading tourism companies of the country.
Participants of the event in two cities showed great interest in tourism potential of Uzbekistan and highly appreciated the ongoing reforms in the tourism sector of the country. At the same time, it was emphasized that the current simplified visa regime for Spanish citizens and scheduled regular flights from Tashkent to the largest industrial and trade center – Barcelona, will contribute to the development of the tourism potential of Uzbekistan and increase the tourist flow to the country.
Uzbekistan Airways starts its flights on Tashkent – Barcelona – Tashkent route from May 24 this year.
