The London City Halls of Kensington and Chelsea was held 56th International Spring Fair. It is the largest annual event organized by the charity organization “Children and families across borders” (CFAB) – British branch of the International Social Service (ISS). This year’s visitors were more than 100 thousand people.
Our reference: CFAB – organization that has for 60 years aimed at protecting and promoting the rights and living conditions of children, adults and families in need of international social assistance. CFAB patron is Princess Alexandra, a cousin of Queen Elizabeth II.
In the current fair was attended by more than 70 diplomatic missions of countries, including the CIS countries, Europe, America, Asia and Africa, as well as a number of British and international organizations. They drew up their national and corporate tables, which were presented souvenirs, national fabrics and clothing, handicrafts, as well as traditional dishes and drinks that can be enjoyed by visitors.
Embassy of our country in London annually participates in the event with a view to a broad representation of British and foreign public information on art and culture, traditions and values of the Uzbek people.
This year, the national stand of Uzbekistan demonstrated a variety of pottery, dishes, figurines, silk fabrics and scarves, gold-sets of men’s and women’s clothing, skullcaps and other products craftsmen. Uzbek dastarkhan was also generous with sweets, dried fruits and traditional drinks to visitors.
The exposition of our country has caused great interest among the organizers and guests of the fair. So, Princess Alexandra, who accompanied her Mayor of Kensington and Chelsea M.Simmonds and wife of the former Marshal of the diplomatic corps A M.Grey thanked Uzbekistan for annual participation in the event and noted the beauty and originality of the exhibited arts and crafts folk art.
Characteristically, in all the years of participation in the fair at the stand of Uzbekistan have regular fans who every year visit our stand. Many of them to tour the cities of the country after a visit to the Uzbek stand.
