The national team of Uzbekistan won 1 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals at the VI President’s Cup International Boxing Tournament held in Astana.
Bektemir Melikuziyev from Uzbekistan defeated Bek Nurmagambet from Kazakhstan in the finals and was awarded a gold medal at the tournament, which was attended by about a hundred boxers from almost twenty countries of the world.
Shunkor Abdurasulov and Ikboljon Kholdorov (Uzbekistan), who won all their rivals before the final match, won silver medals. Members of the national team of Uzbekistan Shahobiddin Zoirov, Mahmud Gaipov and Isroil Madimov were awarded bronze medals.
