On April 30, a cultural event entitled “Day of Uzbekistan in Korea” was held in conjunction with students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korean Development Institute (KDI) in Seoul, South Korea.
As reported by the press service of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the event took place in Hongreung Knowledge Complex in Seoul, attended by students of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who are currently being trained in the Republic of Korea, the staff of the Korean Development Institute, professors and teachers of the Institute.
In the first part of the event, Korean participants got acquainted with the rich history of Uzbekistan, ancient cities, tourism opportunities, reforms carried out in the country, as well as historical monuments of cultural heritage and beautiful natural sites.
In the second part of the event, an exhibition of folk crafts and national costumes, tangible and cultural heritage of the country was held. At the end of the event, representatives of the two countries danced under Khorezm dance lyazgi.
Participants highly appreciated the fruit products grown in sunny Uzbekistan and expressed a desire to visit the country in the future.
