On October 25, a delegation led by the Minister of Health Alisher Shadmanov attended the Global Conference on Primary Health Care organized in Astana city (Kazakhstan) by the World Health Organization, the UNICEF and the Government of Kazakhstan. This event brought together health leaders from different countries to discuss current issues of primary medicine system in the world.

It should be noted that this Global Conference contributes to improving the possibilities of providing qualitative medical care in all countries of the world. Here, representatives from all countries are focusing on increasing investment in primary healthcare to ensure universal health coverage and achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Investing in primary healthcare is one of the most effective, cost-effective and equitable strategies for improving health outcomes and promoting universal health coverage. It was noted that on every continent and in conditions of different income levels, countries are pursuing unprecedented large-scale reforms aimed at increasing access to services and transforming the healthcare system.
As reported by the Information Service of the Ministry of Health, high-level plenary sessions, various events and exhibitions will be held within the framework of the two-day conference program.
