Uzbekistan develops e-health

The Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov met with a WHO delegation led by Director of the Division of Information, Evidence, Research and Innovation at the WHO Regional Office for Europe Claudia Stein.
Plans for implementation of technical assistance on using international standards for creation and development of health information systems and health data management within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the World Health Organization for 2018-2019 were discussed.
As reported by the Information Service of the Ministry of Health, at the meeting, issues of development of a roadmap for the development of a health information system, conduction of monitoring, evaluation, training and advanced training, involvement of international experts in the field of e-health, including training of health professionals, allocation of grant for comprehensively supporting the development of e-health were considered.
It was noted that measures are being taken on introducing an electronic system into medicine of Uzbekistan, allocating grants to the process of developing information and communication technologies and data management in the system of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
