Our country’s tourism industry is growing rapidly in qualitative and quantitative ways at present. The enormous tourist potential of Uzbekistan, which has incorporated unique historical monuments, majestic and unique samples of material culture and architecture, richness and diversity of nature, continues to be the focus of foreign media.

Thus, Times Kuwait published an article, dedicated to the development of the sector in our country.

The article reported that Uzbekistan is among the countries that have a comparative advantage to ensure the international tourism development and high competitiveness. The state has an ancient, unique and rich history that attracts visitors from around the world.

Peace and tranquility, modern tourist infrastructure, friendliness and hospitality of Uzbek people create ample conditions for the development of the sector.

It emphasized that the unique position of Uzbekistan on the crossroads of the Great Silk Road is an important factor in the dynamic development of the industry, and that there are more than 7000 monuments of different epochs and civilizations, many of which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The article noted that such centers of ancient civilization, as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Termez made a worthy contribution to the development of world science and culture, and today is a place of tourist attraction.

Kuwaiti newspaper wrote that the work to promote tourism, cultural and historical potential of Uzbekistan is conducting on a regular basis, within the republic – the annual trade fairs, as well as abroad in the various presentations and briefings.

In conclusion it summarized that the presence of a large number of unique natural sites, rich cultural and historical heritage and ancient traditions of Uzbek culture, development of tourism infrastructure, modern hotels network and well-established service sector indicate that Uzbekistan has formed a complete sector of the national tourism that meets international standards.
