The report of the Head of our State at the enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to the socio-economic development in 2015 and the most important priorities of economic program for 2016, continues to be the focus of Italy’s business community.

Thus, Giuseppe Vita, chairman of the Italian bank “UniCredit”, sent his comments on our country’s development at the present stage.

“After reviewing the text of the President Islam Karimov’s speech, I would like to underline that due to implementation of effective reforms, the country has achieved significant economic growth. Uzbekistan is one of the most promising countries in Central Asia. It is evidenced by the confidence of international investors and the external financing growth.

I was impressed by the measures implemented in the country to ensure the free development and protection of entrepreneurs’ legitimate interests. The results of the work are reflected in the World Bank’s ranking “Doing Business”, where Uzbekistan has risen by 16 points in just one year and took 87th place.

The successful reforms in the field of education aimed at ensuring compliance with its long-term objectives, requirements of time, as well as international standards are also worthy of high valuation. Preparing an educated and intellectually developed generation contributes to the further stable and sustainable economic growth”.
