Uzbekistan holds the first place on number of students, studying in the Russian universities, among the CIS states, Russian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Vladimir Tyurdenov said.
He said that one of directions of the Russian-Uzbek humanitarian cooperation is interaction in education, which is based on agreement between Ministries of education of two states on cooperation in professional education.
Vladimir Tyurdenov noted that branches of the leading Russian universities are operating in Uzbekistan successfully.
Annually, Russian universities allocate educational quotas to education of the citizens of Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan holds the first place on number of students, studying in the Russian universities, among the CIS states.
He said that over 1,080 graduates of schools and colleges of Uzbekistan enrolled to the Russian university, 305 of them are studying on allocated quotas.
