The State Committee for Tourism Development is continuing to develop cooperation with foreign investors, hotel networks and education institutions in order to promote tourism infrastructure of Uzbekistan’s regions.
The number of tourists from the largest country of Southeastern region has increased several times in this area after abolition of visa regime for Indonesian citizens. In turn, various large companies and Indonesian entrepreneurs expressed their interest in implementation of joint projects in the sphere of tourism.
On July 19, 2018, a group of investors from Indonesia, led by President of Sahid Hotels&Resorts Company Mr. Hariyadi Sukamdani arrived in Uzbekistan. On the first day of the working visit, guests met with Tashkent region’s Deputy Governor and representatives of Regional Department for Tourism Development. Indonesian delegation became familiar with tourism infrastructure of Bustanlyk district in the area of free tourist zone. Guests were also informed about all types of tourism in Tashkent region and benefits provided to potential investors.
As reported by the Press Service of the State Committee for Tourism Development, guests will also visit Samarkand and Bukhara to become familiar with investment opportunities.
