Uzbekistan and Russia are planning to create joint ventures to produce compact equipment for processing of agriculture products, the chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Alisher Shayhov said.
He said that creation of the Uzbek-Russian joint venture on production of compact equipment for processing of agriculture products will be one of priority directions of cooperation between two states in various areas.
He underlined that Russian side will submit its proposals on this direction by the end of December and the first results can be announced in the first quarter of 2015.
Uzbekistan and Russia held the session of intergovernmental commission on economic commission in Tashkent in the end of November and the final protocol includes proposal of Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and Union of machinery builders, food and processing equipment to implement several projects in Uzbekistan on production of compact equipment for processing of agriculture products, he said.
Shayhov underlined that the joint production of equipment with Russian companies is actual, taking into account growing interest of Russia in fruits and vegetables of Uzbekistan.
