Uzbekistan to host prestigious championships

In 2019, athletes of Uzbekistan will take part in many major championships. Successful participation of Uzbekistan’s athletes in a number of championships and tournaments, two complex championships, 128 world championships, 96 Asian championships and over 700 international championships for the XXXII Summer Olympics and XVI Paralympic Games, in Tokyo is planned.
According to the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, this year the country will receive athletes of 34 prestigious championships, world and continental championships, international tournaments in tennis, rhythmic gymnastics, cycling, judo, wrestling, taekwondo (WTF), karate (WKF), ulak-kupkari, rowing and canoeing, equestrian, fencing and sambo.
The resolution of the President on preparing Uzbekistan’s athletes for participation in 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, of March 9, 2017 serves as an important guide in creating a solid foundation for decent participation of Uzbekistan’s athletes in these championships.
