Russia’s Yekaterinburg hosted World Boxing Championships on September 9-21. Uzbekistan team won 3 gold and 1 silver medal, and took the first place in the team event.
The solemn meeting of winners took place at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov.
The event was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Ramatov, Minister of Physical Culture and Sports D. Nabiyev, Chairman of the National Olympic Committee R. Shoabdurakhmonov, sports community, relatives of athletes, journalists.
