Uzbekistan to open its pavilion at the forthcoming 71st Cannes International Film Festival in France, for the first time.
At the International Film Festival, which will be held at the Palace of Festivals and Conferences on the famous Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes, the pavilion of the country will be organized by the Union of Youth of Uzbekistan, the Center for the Development of Cinematography and the Council of Young Cinematographers.
The Center for the Development of Cinematography concluded an appropriate agreement with the Directorate of the Cannes Film Festival.
The annual film festival is considered one of the main cultural events in the world of cinema. Last year, the list of participants of this event was more than 12 thousand people from 118 countries, which indicates the growing prestige of the festival.
The pavilion workers will present information about films and cinematography industry of Uzbekistan. Presentation of the PROlogue project, which has received the status of an international film festival to be held in October 2018 in Tashkent, will also be held in the pavilion.
This event is a practical embodiment of the support provided by the state for youth initiatives.
