Uzbekistan’s young chess players are showing high results at the 16th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2022, in Sri Lanka.
According to Uzbekistan Chess Federation, Abdulqodir Bakhodirov took first place among boys under 11 in the blitz games of the tournament, and Muhammadrizo Umarov took second place among boys under 17.
Barchinoy Shokirjonova took first place in the championships among girls under 15, and Maftuna Bobomurodova was awarded a third place among girls under 17.
The championships will run until December 12.
