A meeting with representatives of Eurasian Trade System Commodity Exchange JSC (ETS) of Kazakhstan was held at Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange, during which an agreement was signed on cooperation in organization of export-import exchange trade between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the International Association of Exchanges of the CIS countries, PJSC Moscow Exchange and journalists.
The agreement provides for creation of a working group of employees of Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange and Eurasian Trade System Commodity Exchange JSC, which will determine the list of goods for export-import exchange trade between the two countries and will coordinate conduction of the first pilot exchange trades.
Within the framework of the meeting, participants also discussed the specifics of development of a mechanism of exchange trade between the participants of commodity markets, the ways of involving Uzbek producers in exchange trades with the purpose of exporting their products to Kazakhstan, as well as Kazakhstan’s enterprises producing goods not manufactured in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the sides discussed the possibility of opening trading floors of Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange in Kazakhstan for increasing the volume of exports of goods.
