According to the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the volume of investments of insurance companies in the first 9 months of 2016 amounted to 826.7 billion soums. The figure has demonstrated an increase compared to the same period of the previous year by 20%. Over the past 12 months, the increase in investments of insurance companies amounted to 139.3 billion soums.
The analysis of investment composition shows that during 9 months of 2016 the increase in the volume of investments is observed in almost all major objects of investment, except for loans. Investments of insurance companies in loans decreased by 10% and amounted to 6.9 billion soums. The largest volume of investments traditionally fell to deposits and securities. Investments in deposits grew by 22% over the past period having amounted to 389.7 billion soums. Investments in securities increased by 18% and made up 334.5 billion soums. The highest rate of growth of investment was considered in real estate, they rose by 65% and amounted to 43.1 billion soums. Investments in the authorized capital of companies increased by 8% having to 51.1 billion soums.
